FAQ Surf Camps in South America
Question: I noticed there is a surf school at the hotel and I was wondering if there would be a lot of beginners in the water.
Answer: There are two main surfing areas at both camps. The main surfing point is not acceptable for beginners. Both Surf camps have a area that is great for learning but it is not in the same area where the advanced surfers are.
Questions How are the bed arrangements in the surf camp?
Answer: The surf camp in Ecuador has rooms with a double bed, a double bed and a bunk, two singles beds and apartment for 4 people or more. The Surf Camp in Chile has cabins that sleep four. The cabins have two rooms, a living area, kitchen, jaquzzi area and a deck. One bedroom has double bed and the other room has two bunk beds.
Question: How close are the Surf Camps to the surfing area.
Answer: Both our Surf Camps, Chile and Ecuador, are located in front of the surfing areas. From the surfing areas you can see the surf from your room. In Ecuador the paddle out is right in front of your room. In Chile you enter the surfing area from the south end of the point and located at the north end of wave.
Question: Do the surf camps have hot water and air conditioning?
Answer: The rooms in our surf camp in Ecuador have both air conditioning and hot water. The cabins in our surf camp located at Punta de Lobos Chile have hot water but no air conditioning. The climate is cool even in the summer.
Question: What else is there to do during the night and when you are not surfing?
Answer: Both our Surf Camps in South America are located near towns which have bars and discotechs. We also offer tours to other surrounding areas such as National Parks, Wineries and we can arrange for snorkeling tips, whale watching, and many other activities.
Question: I have heard about surf camps in Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico and other areas of Latin America and I was wondering what the Casa Del Sol Surf Camps have that are different and interesting?
Answer: Both Surf Camps provide a complete service including transportation from the airport, food and lodging, surfboard rentals, ding repair, local tours and much more. Both Surf Camps have an excellent infrastructure and offer inexpensive comfortable lodging.
Question: How far are the Surf Camps from the international airports?
Answer: Both Surf Camps are approximately two hours from the international airports.
Question: Are the Surf Camps open all year?
Answer:
The Casa Del Sol Surf Camp in Ecuador is open under reservation only from December
to May. The Casa Del Sol Surf Camp in Chile is open all year.
